Martin M-130

This is probably the oldest model I’ve ever built. According to Scalemates, it was first produced in 1957, which seems accurate. Turning this “log” into a “Pinocchio” was no easy task. The old brittle plastic, incorrect and overly deep panel lines, inaccurate geometry, and minimal detailing were just a few of the challenges. The toughest part was probably thinning down the wings, as they were ridiculously thick and disproportionate. I finished it in U.S. Navy camouflage, as it served during World War II.
